There's a solid chance the fund gets dissolved and you lose everything. Even if it succeeds, it will take longer than a year, however gains will be huge. So if you can afford to lose/not think about a pile of money for over a year, go for it. I put a 100 bucks on it cause I'm poor and fuck it

I wouldn't touch USO. It will like go under just like OIL is about to at the end of the month. Plus USO is already doing a reverse split in a week, so it just makes it that much more likely to fail.

I’ve invested in 90% of oil companies on the stock exchange and right now the only ones that I can safely say have been 110% worth it is MRO & HAL
Everything else has been a huge fucking disappointment

What draws you to MRO or HAL in particular? I'm interested in mid cap stocks but how much growth potential do you see in them?

MRO because they have billions in funds & were ready for this, unlike the majority of other oil companies, such as XOM, who is still stuck at ~$44
While MRO & HAL are already recovering.
I also chose HAL because it was recommended on /biz/ & so far it’s made a ton of money for me
