You guys do realize that if we ever switch over to cryptocurrencies as a standard, it would be something like USDT right? Something like BTC could never become a standard. People understand the current dollar system.

Only the most delusional coiners believe it's going to become the standard, but the idea is that more and more people are waking up to how manipulated fiat currencies are and how the government just prints more of it at a whim which is no different than stealing the money from the people, Bitcoin is going to be the secondary option to that and you'll be able to use it as payment more and more. It'll be just like paying for something in gold, without having to actually lug gold around with you and smelt it down at a whim.
