What should I buy?

Thinking of taking the square root of market cap of the top 5 coins and splitting the money evenly based on weight.

For example:

>Coin A = 144M Market Cap
>Coin B = 64M Market Cap
>Coin C = 16M Market Cap
>Coin D = 9M Market Cap
>Coin E = 4M Market Cap

>Respective weights = 12, 8, 4, 3, 2
>Sum of weights = 29
>Allocation of funds = 12/29, 8/29, 4/29, 3/29, 2/29

Is this a solid strategy?

Focus on only 3 coins and buy ones you like. You wont be able to hold during a dip if you dont like the coin.

Current Market Cap
>Bitcoin: 20388M
>Eth: 3326M
>Dash: 702M
>Monero: 286M
>Ripple/Litecoin: 234, 209M

So this would get me approximately...
>Weights: 142.78, 57.67, 26.49, 16.91, 15.29
>Sum of Weights: 259.15
>Weighting: 55.1%, 22.2%, 10.2%, 6.5%, 5.9%
>Value: $3306, $1332, $612, $390, $354
>#Coins: 2.63BTC, 35.95ETH, 6.25DASH, 19.23MONERO, 84.69LITE

Thoughts?

Ok, I excluded it in my calculation later on, so it's a bit off but close.

Approximately as >>1863286
states would be the result.

litecoin is also a bag of shit.

if you want you can spend the rest on promising ICO's.

in fact if i was in your position I would spend the 6k on about 4 different ICO's

REX
EQUIBIT
QTUM
and another random one.
