If poker, slots, and roulettes is considered gambling in the states because the outcome is determined by chance, why cant we just use games like checkers, pong, or any skill based game to gamble. Just setup a system where two plays can bet money on some 2 player game, and the winner takes all.

Just wondering, because i think its still illegal to play for money in checkers.

It isn't legal because the top 5% players would keep 90% of the volume.

Either that or only top players would gamble, rendering it useless (because you can make better money other ways if you are very good)
