Seen a lot of threads lately. Thinking about setting up a node. Is it worth the time?

If you are employed, then absolutely not, and here is why.
First of all, you will barely make $8 a day. I can find more in the cushions of my couch. Second of all, the only exchange, qTrade, has abysmal volume. It's basically one of the shittiest exchanges out there. They do about 3BTC daily volume on all of their coins, and about $3,000 volume on DNA (washtrading included). Market selling is the only way for you to sell quickly, meaning that you will lose value. Third, the DNA token itself isn't being used for anything. It's worthless. You may end up being stuck with a useless token that nobody wants. It literally has no value, aside from what some "greater fools" want to pay for it.

So all in all, if you are from a third world county, then maaaaybe. If not, then don't waste your time, energy, electricity, and wear down your kamputah for literally peanuts.

It's a scam, a money grab from the devs. Better invest your money into BTC/ETH/LINK/LIT/USB, real projects with real usecases. Idena doesn't even function because you can run 2-3 nodes and destroying the whole usecase with that.

Advertising usecase is kinda dumb, advertisers only use targeted advertising for online nowadays. Could maybe work with crypto-related stuff since ads on this are so niche with the audience. Other usecases like a digital identity layer to ethereum and quadratic voting are much more interesting.

idk what that guy is smoking but Ive generated 1.7k or so between march 11 to now. I don’t think 2k in a month is possible unless you’re running 2 nodes on vpses and verified/human. mining rewards have gone down a lot as well

those peanuts are $100 to $200 a month depending on the price of DNA and the amount you can generate by mining and getting rewards for every flip you make. only thing I invest is a $3 VPS server per month and 10 minutes at the validation every 10 days or so.
