cause it's a funding token held mostly by the team. they're constantly dumping as the price pumps.

Chainlink will have the same problem when the devs resume dumping

you could say most coins are held by the team behind it. The concept of BAT is good, buy adoption is the hard part. Imagine if BAT replaced reddit gold. That's the dream at least...

False. The coins with mega moons (btc, eth) are not 60%+ held by a team. The ETH foundation only holds 1%.

rude

dev teams do hold on to a lot of their own coins. It's like BoD holding onto their company's stock. Sure some dev teams have a larger percentage, im not denying that. I'm only stating that most dev teams hold a large amount of coin

I convert my monthly BAT rewards to Bitcoin.

Always will. Rather stack SATs over holding BAT. I dont hate BAT and I believe in it, but I'm not passing on the chance to get free SATs.

This is the downside of having a real company.
Something like LINK, because it has no adoption, people can convince themselves that one day it will be worth hundreds of billions. That when it does get adoption it's going to be so huge and monumental, that every LINK will be worth $10 or $100 or $1000.
BAT on the other hand, anyone can do the math and see what it's going to be worth one year from now, five years from now, etc. The good news is if the adoption keeps going up and to the right, the price will go up. But it won't be like meme tokens with no adoption where it increases 1000x overnight, it will be slow and steady.
I still HODL BAT because I think it's one of the only projects in all of crypto that actually did a go-to-market correctly. But it's a long term HODL. Also they really fucked themselves over with all this KYC shit.

Do you think it's plausible that they would move away from the kyc requirement, and how would that impact adoption and price?

>> No.18537596

>>18534680
That's how decentralized blockchain funding works. Once the original investment for the developers pays off (meaning they are done selling the bulk of their stock) the price will move organically. What do you faggots expect devs to do? Work for peanuts forever? Buy and wait or don't buy.

That is not how it works..... The advertisers would put just as much Buy pressure as cashing out would create sell pressure.

Its meant to be used not speculated on.

Same with LINK, right? They manipulate LINK's price action heavily. LINK is one of the most manipulated projects in the entire space and Binance has a huge hand in it.

For now. We have TAP Network that lets you redeem your BAT for giftcards and once vpn0, paywall subscriptions, and self serve ads are released, you have way more utility and reasons to hold and use over selling. Each feature will be huge for how people see and use the token.

Brave/BAT can only do 20% user growth per month for so long. It just gets closer and closer to critical mass. Somehow there are people still calling it a shitcoin while their coin is faced with a funding crisis that no sane vc will give a life raft to.
