This guy made at least $13,000 so far (FEB. 1 to now) by uploading copyrighted family guy clips. AT LEAST $13,000 lads. my question is: if his channel is taken down, can FOX sue him or request all the ad revenue he made be reversed?

>> No.1852889

He made money off of copyrighted material. So yes 100% he has no leg to stand on and, if FOX wanted to they could sue him. But FOX is huge, so they would probably just send a cease and desist letter and then their lawyers would say "Pay us $x,xxx or we'll sue you" and then if the guy refuses they send some junior attorney to sue him because this case would be so fucking easy to win

Its probably already claimed and FOX is getting all the revenue

How would you know the revenue sharing agreement and copyright flagging on the channel? Those clips might be monetized *for* FOX with the channel owner seeing exactly zero money. It's become a common agreement since they introduced it a couple of years in the past.

>if his channel is taken down
Don't know, but since YouTube and AdSense are run by the same company you'd think they wouldn't pay-out ad revenue if a ToS violation occurred.

>can FOX sue him or request all the ad revenue he made be reversed?
Sure, but if they sue they'd just request license damages, which would by far eclipse the ad revenue. Nobody cares about the shitty ad bucks, even if they should be ill-gotten gains. Which I heavily doubt, since there's no way FOX doesn't bulk upload all their stuff into Content ID.

YouTube is pretty rightsholder friendly and transparent. Facebook is where the real shit happens. Some nigger takes content from YouTube and uploads it to Facebook's own video platform, makes a ton of money from ads and at best Facebook would take down the video.

so he already has the money? what's to stop this gentleman from just using proxy/dummy paypal accounts and flooding youtube with family guy clips? he could potentially be making 50-100k a month just by utilizing 5+ youtube accounts

Because Google Adsense will ban you and it's hard to get back on.

I've seen people like him, what they do is create multiple channels and reap in the views then delete the channels before they become popular.

Therefore when they get strikes on their channel it was only for that one channel.

fug. this seems like such an easy way to make money.

>buy all seasons of family guy/american dad/rick and morty
>have hundreds of accounts and spend a few hours a day uploading clips on to multiple channels
>rake in the dough, if youtube kills your channel, two more take its place

How do you make money with ads on facebook?

Is there an option for it?
