Probably not better than Monero, with the new code they are just copying Zcash code.. The only point of this coin is that it is dirt cheap, has good branding and large previous ath. I am hoping that it goes up a lot when the new code is released.

There was an inflation bug where somebody created fake coins.......... With the code update coming, a large reason for it was to remove these fake coins. So in the future it will no longer have premine/fake coins.

I have spent more than that myself, so I have decided to take that risk. Can't say for sure whether it will pay off. If it does I should get a nice stack of cash even on a modest pump.

One thing I would say, the new chain is not out yet. I would want to make sure the exchange you buy it off will be able to honor the purchase when the new chain occurs.. Also as there is no chain you can't withdraw or deposit the BTCP with exchanges currently.

Its a tough position for people that didn't hold BTCP in a wallet before the old chain was snapshotted. I am sitting here comfy with my old wallet waiting to claim my coins on the chain, hoping for pumps.
