Some years ago an anon lend me some money so I could open a cyber-café / Repair shop.
I just want to share it with you guys, without you this store wouldn't exist.

Corona is hitting hard, but the hardship only make us stronger.

Just make a business plan and post it here on /biz/ that's how I did.
Some anons got in touch with me interested, so I made a deal with one of them. He lent me the money (it was something like 1.5k USD at the time) and I started working.
We agreed on 20% of the profit + returning his initial 1.5k USD.
Make a good business plan and I am sure you will find someone interested, even here on /biz/.

But why are people in your region still going to internet cafes? Why don't they do it via smartphones or what do they do on the computers that makes it worth it?

Also could you do a bit a break down of your finances?

Lack of money was one of the biggest challenges, it's hard to have a good store and lots of products/services to offer when you have a tight budget.
Another big challenge was dealing with more than one person at once, fortunately I have brother to help me.

People usually need to print their bills, and they don't have printers at home, some don't even have computers or internet connection, so it's convenient for them to come here and browse the internet rather than using their phones.
Also teenagers whose parents can't afford buying them gaming computers, so they all come here and play, they usually play multiplayer games.
>- what do you pay rent
Monthly expenses comes to around 1400 brl (500 rent, 300 internet and 600 from a loan I made to upgrade the computers).
>- what do you charge per hour
3 Reais (around 58 cents USD).
>- what do you make
Around 1k - 2k BRL, minus 20% I send to my partner (the anon who lent me the money).
I am trying to find ways to make more money, 1-2k is fine for me, but I feel it's too little of a profit for my partner, since 1k brl is just 230 USD.

Being from Bulgaria, I was almost convinced that internet cafes (or gaming clubs as we call them) have all died out until a couple of years ago I was surprised to discover that a few new ones have opened around my city and were actually quite busy during certain parts of the day with people of almost all age groups. They have very well specced pcs and are really have a really nicely made interiors. It seems that despite smartphones and almost everyone having a pc at home these days people still like to go there from time to time for the social aspect. It actually makes LAN parties very easy to hold for people who play team based games like MOBAs and FPSs. Throw in a VR headset and a few sofas with a TV and a console, add a bar that serves booze and food and even complete normies will want to come hang out even just to play FIFA.
Hold occasional tournaments and competitions with prizes for the most popular games and people will have even more of an incentive to come and play.

I've been getting hyped about opening my own gaming cafe for a while now and honestly think it's a good business venture these days if you do it right.

Thanks, I usually have a goo profit margin on services, i charge 0.25 brl for photocopies, 0.50 for black/white printing and 1 brl for color printing, and my expense is like 7-9 cents per page, so even in photocopies I have a good margin.
I just need to find a way to get more costumers or to open a second store, but I don't have the time to open another one.
>>18501068

Oh interesting. I can see that working but I would have never come up with that. So you are having two customer segments, one without a printer who use your services for stuff, the other for gaming kids. Based on that you could expand. Either better printers -> become of a copyshop. Or more gaming -> become more of a gaming cafe, host turnaments, make it more social.
