I saw a good youtuber's description of what's happening:

"If this market actually recovers then there will be no reason ever again to short the market. The fed can literally just print money until the market recovers."

It's really true. If this market seriously goes back to normal after this serious of a crash by printing money then our government will do it for every single recession. What does that mean? Every 10 years, when we have a recession, your savings will decrease by probably like 30% from the fucking inflation. There will never be any reason to save ever again.

You know what else that means? It means that the bankers will be slowly bleeding every American dry as the money is dilated.

Absolute truth. Unlimited worldwide QE is taking place. With it a gigantic transfer of money to people already sitting on it. Savers and people without asset are fucked beyond belief. The reason for never ever letting the market consolidate is as plain and simple as one can imagine: The people in power, politicians, people with influence belong to the generation who would hurt their own retirement assets by letting markets consolidate. This is all a big scam on the young generation. The debts taken on now save the old's asses and will be paid by the following generations. Young capable people have their workforce to offer, they could easily sit out a deep recession and benefit on the upturn. Instead they are expected to buy into babyboomer's inflated assets.

>>18459750
Don't be bullish or bearish. Ride the waves, but play it safe and exit when you feel appropriate with your profits. There's no point going long right now, given the short/medium-term economic outlook. Certainly no point in buying in this far into the first rally. Unless you bought at the 23rd low or nearby, it's probably safe to start taking profits on speculative plays.

There's a lot of short-term greed on display right now. Valuations are squarely in bull market territory, if you look back at historical valuations of the S&P. That is with no economy to support said valuations. Apart from "forward looking" and "priced in" memes, there's been no provided solution to how productivity losses due to the virus situation will be rectified. There's been no discussion of the timeline in which SME's will be able to get the loans they'll need to stay afloat, nor what happens to those SME's that don't qualify or won't be solvent long enough for the cash injection. There's been no discussion of the unemployment the above will cause long-term, nor how those people will be able to re-train/re-enter the work force. There's been no discussion of the many industries that will be impacted long-term by consume unease regarding being in large social settings. And going on to the virus itself, the vaccine timeline is at least 18+ months. Temporary stop gaps may appear in the coming months, and mitigation measures will help slow the spread, but there's no certainty as to on what time-frame that will occur. There are real reasons a lot of the people are on the sidelines with cash. Memes are not one of them.

The banks are concerting this messaging that Powell has PROMISED to return the market to Feb 2020 levels and beyond. If you're a bear you aren't just fighting the Fed, you are fighting the banks too. They aren't allied per se, technically, Powell said he was going to rescue workers and SMEs, but the banks have taken and twisted this message to mean he is going to rescue them and the market. Plus you've got the Command in Chief who is acting like the most cherished and sacrosant value of the american nation is to make the big line go up. it's all just probability and statistics. volatility doesn't change things because day traders get the ability to use stop losses and you're just trying to win more often than you lose. you calculate volatility using the ATR and you dictate your position size based on it. if you want to risk $100 for example, and wanted to say do 1:1 risk:reward bets on 1x the ATR, for a stock that is moving $1 on average per candle you'd buy 100 shares and for a stock that is moving $0.10 on average per candle you'd buy 1000 shares. the indicators and moving averages just give you better odds than going at random.

Hospitality and retail are green despite them literally all being closed, no customers, no employees, some don't even have management. Buildings empty, not paying rent, and their stocks go up. Is there logic to this? Do you get that just looking at charts is what makes the bubble? If the market really returns to ATH (which I think it will) we as a country are going to regret it for years.
