Is that the trick? Is Donnie and Powell cucking us all right now?
Stocks go up because of inflation, but then your money can't actually buy anything?
Or does inflation make stocks go down?

You possess 10% of the company Boeing value in billions.
Thanks to BRRR its virtual price goes up.
Half a year later Boeing declares bankruptcy after it stopped selling products and had to repay its previous customers with their grounded planes.
Your 10% of Boeing shares now have a value of 0.

It does two things for stocks
it makes hodling cash more dangerous, encouraging institutions and individuals to look for other securities that won't be devalued as much relative to the dollar, such as stocks, thus increasing demand and consequently price.
and it lowers the value of the dollar relative to an equivalent amount of equity, increasing the value of the stock.

Nominal value goes up as desperate speculators try to save their wealth by investing in anything that looks promising.

Real value on average goes down due to the perverse incentives of being rewarded more for appealing to those desperate speculators rather than focusing on solid, sustainable, business fundamentals.

The net effect is a bunch of mal-investment and inefficient businesses that are optimized to keep up appearances, and whose stock price becomes detached from fundamentals.

It's good for all asset holders, generally speaking. It's terrible for pretty much all middle class and working class people. Doesn't really make a difference to welfare niggers.

Inflation is good for richest 1% of people since it increase the price they get paid for goods and also the valuation of their companies.
So yes it's good for stocks and yes Donnie and powell is cucking anybody that relies on a paycheck and keeps their savings in the USD.

No inflation does not make stocks go down.

none of it really matters to markets anymore, and it hasnt mattered for a long time. stop trying to make sense of the market using outdated logic that doesnt work anymore. you can sit around arguing about economics or whatever but thats not gonna get you anywhere unless youre trying to be an academic or journalist.

Inflation is great for stocks, just ask Venezuela. But I would imagine hyperinflation destroys the real economy in the process so purchasing power of stocks would decline on the net regardless of price appreciation.

This, in inflation people go for stocks because they figure owning a company is better than owning worthless paper, only problem is that when everyone's money is worthless eventually those companies turn into dogshit too since no-one can buy whatever it is they produce, also unless you actually have a controlling share you don't own anything except pieces of paper that say how many dollars of it you own, which is ultimately no different from holding fiat.

Really, who gives a shit on inflation when low caps like Suterusu give you SIXTY PERCENT APR and will 10x atop of it?

Think about it. Just stop and think what a beautiful timeline we live in. Buy SUTER, desu.
