iirc the advertised feature of MW is quick easy validation of the whole chain since it's very pruneable, which would minimize trust compared to btc and xmr where most are connecting to remote 3rd party nodes because syncing takes a while. And interactive transactions can be done through file exchange or over a routing protocol. Grin is a decent project; I'm not sure when or if it will gain traction but it's sad to see so-called cypherpunks cannibalize their own...

Grin is the best tech and the best economics for long term. For short term it's of course a very poor investment until the value appreciation overtakes the inflation. When that happens is anyones quess. For long term (10+ y) it's probably a very good speculation right now.
