Hey Im not saying I think its a great idea, its selfish and detrimental to the overall market growth but apparently they think its going up regardless and they just want the most of it they can before that happens. I think these whales, who sit on stacks up and down from 1k to 20k and back to 3, are planning on it becoming like 500k, a million each. Personally I think holding Bitcoin for any length of time is retarded and alts are obviously offering significantly higher potential gains, also Bitcoin is obsolete as fuck. When a website offers Bitcoin and Litecoin, its not even a debate. They had to extend the payment timers to 2 hours from 1 because Bitcoin cant even get through to a merchant in the time limit.

Also I guess you could look at it as they probably have a whale cartel, and by forcing the most btc into their hands as possible they can force everyone else to play with as little as possible, inflating the overall "market cap" simply because 80%+ stays locked up in whale wallets not moving.
