Let's say I have 100€ to invest atm, this crypto thing sounds fun and I'd like to give it a try before deciding if it's worth it

What is it better, buy one of the big coins and keep swinging to make microscopic but safe profits, or choose a cheap 0.05 cent shit coin and wait for it to pump and go x100?

As I said, I know we're talking about peanuts here and I know I won't be able to become a millionaire with such a ridiculous initial investment, I'm just trying to get the hang of it and make some practice, and 100 bucks is a sum of money that won't change my life even if I completely lose it due to my incompetence.

Thanks!

if you have that low amount of money you have to gow for low/microcaps with big potential and maybe upcoming news in the near future
sell the top and buy the bottom

also its easier to catch several 2x-10x than a 100x once
i would suggest vidt or trb, look nito them DYOR and decide

Thanks! I'm using Binance rn since it has the lower fees, and some very cheap coins with decent projects behind caught my eyes, like XRP and ICX. I also saw a thread about AARPA earlier.

>>18436556

I've been trading with link until now, but the profits have been very small. But yes I had fun with link, especially in the past couple of days.

I still don't understand how the market can be so green! I mean, with the coronavirus and everything, one would expect everything to drop, yet there are so many coins that are increasing their value.

>> No.18437379

your $100 will soon become $1-2 if you start chasing shitcoin pumps.

your best bet is to just buy chainlink and keep adding fiat when you can

using binance is good for the start but if you want to make the real money you have to buy some projects BEFORE a major exchange listing like binance
also beware of the CZ scams, before u buy be sure its the bottom or near the bottom, but the chances it will pump are high though in the future
after buring 100 bucks in jan 2018 i lurked a year and invested again januar 2019, made 2k from 200€ in 2019, but didnt sell and dca'd in promising projects since then

You're right, but I'm using this money mostly as practice and training, like a tutorial in a vidya. If by ignorance and mistake I happen to lose these 100 euros, I will still have learned something useful about what NOT to do. This is why I prefer to "risk" them a bit, I mean I'm still learning how to use the binance app and all it's functions, I won't learn anything if I just buy something and hodl for X years. But yes, I'll stay away from the most obvious shit coins.

>>18437429
>using binance is good for the start but if you want to make the real money you have to buy some projects BEFORE a major exchange listing like binance

That's right! Although I recognize I'm still too ignorant and dumb to realize which project has future and wich one is just a pajeet scam, when I'm reading their papers every project (ok except the most idiot ones) looks like they will revolution the universe with its innovative technology bla bla bla, and then it all end in a mosquito fart.

> CZ scams

what do you mean?

> after buring 100 bucks in jan 2018 i lurked a year and invested again januar 2019, made 2k from 200€ in 2019

That's impressive! Damn I hope to achieve something like this someday, hopefully soon. Your major profits mostly came from swing trading different coins depending on the situation, or you found a project that suddenly mooned?

I also got involved in crypto for the first time around January 2018, dragged in by some friends who were making decent gains, but I was incredibly unlucky (and stupid too) because I got in like the week before the major January crash lmao. Luckily I only lost around 150€, but that was enough to make me get out from the crypto world, until now at least, at least I have something to do during quarantine time lol

youre better than most of the people if youre reading the whitepapers but yes thats right, its sometimes hard to seperate the diamonds from the shitcoins
/biz/ is a good place for that but you have to be very careful

>what do you mean?
the coins launching on binance like Harmony, Arpa, Solana
the ceo is a smart scammer, u have to be aware that you can make a 5x in 30 minutes or will be a bagholder for weeks/months probably, or have to cut losses at some point

>Your major profits mostly came from swing trading different coins depending on the situation, or you found a project that suddenly mooned?
back in Q1 of 2019 you could invest in like any idex coin and it mooned some days later, catched a few pumps there and sold for profit
thats where i found vidt for like 1c and some other times i was like 90% something is happening, like the fantom listing on binance and hold ftm and sold the binance pump

you will learn over time how to react and what to buy, but there is a risk in every trade you make obviously
oh and i never daytraded or something

I played with crypto the other night. Made $4.50 after fees with $200 of funmoney at risk.
Decided to exit crypto green forever, because I'd need 681% roi every month forever to match what I can do in my own business.

Maybe someday when i have so much money laying around that I don't have a choice, I'll fuck around again, but watching crypto charts is an annoying waste of time and coinbase only gives alerts for the top three coins.

I wish I did anything that sophisticated. I held tezos for like 8 hours.

Originally, I was going to funnel $1000/mo from a side business into it and just let it accumulate and possibly appreciate; then, I realized it would be pants on head to not just expand the side business. As soon as the stay home order lifts, I'm hiring a few part time weekenders for $20/hour and ramping up.

You just described blockchain cryptocurrency like it was some dirty glory hole, that you stuck your dick in, but realized it was to yucky for your precious peepee because you have other options. but then maybe you'll go back someday.

I'm sorry man. If I believed in any of it, I'd buy and hold, but all I see is a chance to matingale with volatility. I'm getting to old for that shit, and even if I was still into edgy stuff, the amount of time checking charts was screwing with my day.

Your opinion means very little to me. Without a hint of irony though, seriously, good luck with your chainlink investment. I hope it goes to $5000eoy and all of you guys on here flip the script on the powers that be. Sincerely.

I do understand BTC halving, 3mill more left to mine etc. leading to possible increasing in price (based on opinions).
