The reason many people are still bullish is because they're not adversely affected by the current economic situation yet. This creates an illusion of normalcy and safety.

redpilled. people unironically fall for the brrr meme as if you can just have the entire western world sit on its ass and magically have hospitals keep working without starving to death.

more dead people means less mouths to feed and more of a food surplus. Are you disabled?

it is not about the fucking deaths, no one cares about the deaths. mostly old and sick people die of it anyway so of course it helps the economy in that sense. the problem is that it also makes young productive people have fever, nausea, and whatever the fuck. look up actual athletes who had recovered from corona, they all say how miserable it made them feel. you can't have this shit affecting millions of tax payers and productive people.

400 years ago you didn't have 7 billion people on earth, with at least a billion living in dense population centers that would starve to death without proper utilities like electricity, water, sewage, planning, stuff that require that "useless service sector". You think people can just walk to a field and work all day to harvest their food? that is literally impossible for billions of people to do.

Rome, at its height, had a population of around 1 million Romans, and maybe the same amount of slaves if not more. The Italian peninsula literally could feed Rome, so they had to import grain constantly from Egypt.
The situation is much worse today. You have entire countries that depend on the import of food, which relies on heavy ships, which relies on technology, which relies on engineers, who rely on advanced education, who rely on political stability supplied by a modern army and police.
