I made so many threads about GME stock and everyone tried to tell me it was a horrible investment. It’s mooned so much from the major dip it had recently and I could have done very well for myself if I didn’t listen to all you naysayers! Reeee I am seething. They're closing stores as soon as their lease is up. What's their long term strategy for profit? You don't need to go to a store to buy a game or a console. More and more consumers are moving towards digital download, especially the younger ones. Nintendo is a producer of video games. Gamestop is a middleman that has been replaced by companies like Nintendo selling digital copies directly to the consumer and companies like Amazon shipping it directly to the consumer. Unless they say they will focus their games to be digital to prepare for the future then its not going to make it. Also if they cut a deal with Xbox or Sony with digital sales but i highly doubt that will happen. Even if they go digital they will have a lot competition but their name brand can have a upper leverage. I entered into this at the low 3's, it crashed to 2.60 for a bit because shills on Seeking Alpha/Stocktwits keep posting their "Muh Corona" and "Muh Blockbuster" arguments again and again. Also there's a very vocal minority who hates GME and they probably convinced some retail holders to dump their shares, and new players to open more (illegal) naked shorts.

Majority holders now are institutions, hedge funds, and Gamestop itself. There is going to be a proxy battle for control of this company April 20, so all Shares are being recalled for voting rights.

The squeeze is going to be bigger than Volkswagen.
