I'm not getting this meme

You're showing soijacks/numales saying "typical" things they would say, but all numales are socialists and do not invest. The only people telling you to invest in index funds are business and finance majors, along with some fags on Reddit.

tl;dr: the people misusing the numales do not understand 4chan culture and are unironically Reddit tourists

You're right. I think it's just because you see these things on Reddit a lot.

I read it too and desu it was complete trash maybe in like 1970-1980s it was good but its basically irrelevant now since the dotcom bubble

That's mostly why I tossed it, information seemed especially outdated when you consider the relevancy of the internet and how it plays a factor on global markets just with the realization that anybody has access to research materials inconceivable when the book was written. It's a good gook for understanding some basic concepts and maybe historical outlooks but not much beyond that in current year

Yeah my friend gave me a lend of it , he hadn't read it but his proper boomer dad recommended it to him (this boomer dad stopped him from touching 20k in his inheritance to buy bitcoin in 2016 and from buying Netflix/Facebook in 2012) and I heard about it so I gave it a read and yeah more or less was stuff you could have picked up from binging youtube videos and nothing really new bar a few concepts that are outdated since the markets are completely different from 1970s compared to today (fiat money printing, technology/internet etc) so if anyone is reading this thread and thinking of reading , save ur time and read something else unless you wanna know about investing in the 1940-80s markets lmao
