>be me, 2013, entering freshman year of college
>Undeclared major
>get in to university that will put me 100k in debt
>"this is a stupid idea mom, why would I spend this much money at this school when I could go to a community college for much less?"
>"That's where all the losers go, your school is much better bang for your buck"
>22 now, will have a fifth year because I was undeclared freshman year. Majoring in electrical engineering now
>Realize I was right all along and that I shouldn't be spending this much on school

I mean if you or everyone around you did it, why would you think anything different? She probably ascribed the student loan crisis to lazy millennials.

At a cheap liberal arts state school, couldn't be happier.

2 yrs community college is not the right way to do engineering

the right way:
>know you want to do engineering IN HIGH SCHOOL
>research each discipline IN DETAIL
>complete as many AP courses and tests as possible
>secure a full ride or as close to one as possible so youre not stuck in community college, because it really actually is for losers
