what you think is? if bitcoin is adopted as a gold standard currency (it probably won't) then it would lose its volatility. now yes its volatility is due to exchanging it for something you can buy things with. hint if invest in cryptos invest in the infrastucture that will support the one that does eventually become a new currency.

yes from a speculation you will make money as many are still interested in it and a bull run could happen again. but long term bitcoin wont be the gold standard type of currency imho.

bitcoin will replace gold i have little doubt about that. gold will be used as industrial metal more and more and less and less as financial asset. just as silver is barely used today as financial asset.

this will happen gradually as boomers die out.
bitcoin will take it's role it's mathematically determined scarcity and unconfiscateable property makes it ideal for private ownership and hedge against inflation.

i'm not at all convinced bitcoin will ever be used as currency.

I pray for bountiful btc in the future and that your investment pays off. lets hope that the moons not the limit.

>> No.18309770

>>18309752
oh and of course for bitcoin to take golds role it's systemic risks need to be reduced greatly. the 9000 pound gorilla in the room is china. bitcoin is not robust enough from the ruling parties interference as is. it needs to move the majority of hash out of that country and get mining more distributed then we can see some more adoption.

It's pegged to the stock market, which is so funny. If this goes on, people would rather trade stocks instead of coins. And BTC will crash in a few months - for good.

What a sad retort. So your silver lining is that stocks got rekt more than your shitcoin? Well wasn't your bitcoin supposed to be a great store of value or safe haven or whatever bullshit buzzwords you blind fanboys invent, specifically for times like these? This pandemic just proved that bitcoin really is useless.

>> No.18309812

>>18309795
yes i have told you fags for years while the financial system works and while your government does not openly turn on you bitcoin offers nothing over stocks for the majority of people.
it beats the living shit out of gold tho. and if you ever have to run it's the thing.
