Well, I have seen the dashboard and it is not looking good.

There is currently no volume going through overledger, there is some testnet stuff. But wow it is not good. I have just sold 500 ETH worth of qnt.

The hype for qnt is about "staking" when it is really a share of fees that go through "your" gateway. So not even all volume will go through your gateway, you are going to get s tiny %, and no longer a lower limit on qnt you need to hold.

As a whale this is a disaster.

Where do I even start with this disaster of a post.

1). "Former whale" "As a whale". 500 eth worth. My fucking sides.

2). No one with any decent amount of crypto would ever be so retarded as to market sell and miss out on thousands of dollars, so almost certainly a larp anyway.

3). Why the fuck would all volume go through one person's gateway? Do you not realize that staking works the same everywhere else? If you have a small amount of QNT you validate a small amount of traffic and thus get a small percentage, and the opposite if you have a larger amount.

4). There IS still a minimum amount of QNT required as per Gil's AMA. It may just be lower than the 500 previously mentioned. And he's confirmed that more staked QNT > more transactions > more earnings, like every other form of staking.

Gil doesn't want to be bled dry by the kind of fees some of the big exchanges charge. A lot of exchanges (one big one in particular) are also renowned for wanting access to the tech in exchange for a listing. With this being a proprietary system, that's obviously a red line.

Maybe because the arrangements are still in process? Also they got a confirmed partnership with SIA which powers the internet infrastructure for 570 banks and financial institutions, and has helped develop Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Alipay and many others. Corporate fintech moves at a slow pace but that's evidence enough that they're moving around in big circles.
