Does anyone have any business ideas or know of any employment/career/(((networking))) opportunities/strategies? What about ways to save money?
I think these topics are all significant if not essential for personal finance, and would serve to broaden the discussion on this board.

This is an example of a dishonest and exploitative(but still legal) business model, but any lucrative business model is welcome in this discussion.
Here goes:

I used to work at a call center in a ghetto mexican area. The company was owned and managed by jews from israel. The employees were all poor mexis and got paid minimum wage and the office was grimy.
We provided emergency towing services, and usually the people who called us were in distress(which we would exploit). We didn't own our own tow trucks, we were simply middlemen. It probably helped that some of our associated local towing businesses were jewish, but not all of them were.
The way a transaction would take place went like this:
A person would see our ad for towing online, and would call us to have his car towed. We had at least 70 different fake advertised names for towing companies, to have a larger advertising presence and to avoid accountability.
We would get the relevant info from him, including his credit card info, and hang up on him before he could ask what the price was. We would lie to our customers whenever it was convenient. Then we would call or online message one of about ten towing companies that worked with us on a freelance basis, and whoever was available would do the towing job. If the tow truck was running late and the customer was repeatedly calling us, we would give false reduced estimates for how long it would take the tow truck to get there, as you waited on the freeway for another 45 minutes.

The company has been in operation for at least 7 years.
These exploitative business models are highly lucrative and surprisingly sustainable long term.

We had about 6-9 minimum wage, poor ghetto and desperate, employees per shift, who would usually work 10-12 hour shifts, and aside from the computers, monitors, and telephones, and (small) office space, there wasn't much startup capital. I can't think of a business which could startup with less capital.

Tow companies are shady as fuck and the owners deserve to die of whatever horrible disease they catch if they pull shit like this. I once had a tow truck driver start to hook up my car in an apartment complex late at night while I was delivering pizza. I was never more than about 50 feet away from my car, and for all of 2 minutes. He claimed someone called because I was in their spot. And he arrived in under two minutes. Ok dude. I asked if he had an air pump and he said no, but that I wouldn't need it anyway because there was no way he was going to NOT tow me. I said i have an air pump that I may consider renting to him if he doesn't finish unhooking my car before I let the air out of all of his tires, and that I was about to call the police on him for stealing my car because obviously nobody called him. As I pretended to dial the police I began to unscrew a valve stem. He freaked out. He stopped what he was doing and pleaded for me to not let any more air out of his tire. I said, no, and that he better get moving, as my air pump rental rates are not very reasonable. I have never seen a man work so fast. As he got back in his truck I called the police and gave them his description and plate number, and detailed the incident the same as I have here. I hope that when they pulled him over he tried something stupid and they beat the shit out of him. I'll never know.

TL;DR- get AAA with towing so you are never in a situation to have to rely on these shady companies. Also, OP is a faggot and should drink a vial of Covid mucous.

Sure, there are lots of business opportunities, mostly in retail to online. Basically approach local retail outlets and offer them an online solution that will boost sales. You take a percentage of the profits, they stay in business or gain business, and everyone wins.
The skills you need are the norm, webdev, seo, and understanding how to deliver good customer service when the owners get funky.
The downside to this business strategy is that it's a bit over-saturated at the moment. Most businesses struggled and survived by moving to online already. However every day retail businesses have issues because they don't have good online presence. That's where you can come in. After you get 30 clients or so, you can make fat cash and you stop taking clients. You can expand as well by hiring other developers, but to be honest that leads to tons of bigger issues with a business once you start having employees.

Personally I'm trying to capture the fall of GameStop. I have a business plan, access to a 50k personal loan, tons of lines of credit. All I need is for GameStop to go out of business and I will install myself into my local community. I love games, hobbies, etc. and I hate GameStop so please bros pray that it happens and I make it.

not really. you just have to understand the difference between make and get. there are lots of proxy hotlines that only survive by constantly throwing money at seo and ad campaigns. be it towing or plumbing or food delivery or personal transportation... you can do it with every service. this will only be profitable until someone has a real product (service) that kills your gains. that is what uber did.
there were lots of local dispatchers for taxis and uber increased the availability (more drivers) and the demand (better communication channel, easier to use than a hotline with minimum wage foreigners). now the number ofdispatcher hotlines (proxies) is much lower and uber got much more clients. by creatibg a real product a company will hit its competitors really hard if the are just collecting arbitrage and not procising a real value.

Some kind of pop-up "Covid-19 cleaning service" for when they slowly start easing the lockdown. Just buy some masks, goggles, and plastic covering suits and advertise yourself to clean businesses in-between shifts. Well first thought would be schools or any gov't buildings, if you could somehow get in with them - though you would need connections. I know lots of schools in my area did a "thorough clean" right before they all got shut down.

The company I work for has lots of phone centers where people have to be in the office. They have a system where they work in shifts to keep distance. You could maybe advertise that you can come in and quickly disinfect between shifts. Or other small businesses that refuse to shut down, clean up after the work day is over. They might do it just to prove to their employees that "they care about their safety".

My previous employer was a warehouse/distributor, they paid some decent cash for "testing" and other nonsense when there was a mold problem in the office area, it was clearly just to placate the employees.

I don't have any experience with this kind of thing, just random thought I had...maybe someone else can explain why it makes no sense.

I personally learned through w3 schools 10 years ago. It was the absolutely worst resource out of them all lol but I still made it. For SEO I learned through blog posts that were doing it through wordpress sites, mainly tried to learn from people who did it already.

get with the times old man, everything you need is on Google/Youtube. If you want to make your own mobile application just go to GitHub and copy paste the code from there, followed by a few tweaks here and there. For websites you don't even need programming knowledge, all the hard work is done by the website platform (WordPress/Shopify) and you customise the website to your taste.
