Bitcoin Gold isn't really a scam, just a fork of Bitcoin, it's entirely up to people whether or not to buy it, it works the same as BTC
the term scam should rather be reserved for actual scams, e.g. coins which don't use proof of work or which have a system where certain nodes carry more power than others by criteria other than hash rate
but yes, Bitcoin Gold will also have a halving

I will be 50% attacked. Right now it has ~3% of the available SHA hashpower. After it's halving it'll be even more unprofitable to mine. If its hashpower falls below 1.8% it is done. There is enough idle hashpower by dedicated Bitcoin miners who are eager to fuck Rogers little scam up. Combined with shorts it might even be profitable for them. Their rolling checkpoints won't save them but rather lead to lots of different chain states. Roger will be furious and might even dump BTC to "revenge" his chain. BTC will recover, bcash won't.
