Corona virus has turned the dream into a reality. Four more years of Trump will cement America as a dead hegemony. It's already dying, has been since the mid to late 2000's. Obama tried to prop up a zombie economy instead of letting it rot and rebuild.

After it's all said and done and America is dusted (~2024), I'm going to write think-pieces online about how it's actually the Democrats' fault because they ran the most corrupt, unlikable human being alive, and then 4 years later ran a guy with dementia.

Unfortunately it's not just that. He also eliminated a key Chinese CDC position responsible for looking out for epidemics, and ignored the NSC playbook for pandemics (which among other things said the feds should make sure there will be enough PPEs for hospitals, which there's now a massive shortage of). Then there's how he downplayed the fuck out of it for most of February and totally botched the test kits. And a wide variety of other fuckups.
So yeah it (and other things) would have helped. For a better comparison in a country that had about the same amount of time to respond as the US, you should look at Canada, which is doing at least twice as well as the US.

I love how redditors can take any situation or issue at all and pick a few things out to castigate Trump's whole with. It's an amazing ability.
