I have been a silver stacker for about a decade. I bought back when it was $20 an oz, and I bought back when it was $40 an oz. if you’re in this game to speculate you will lose. People who buy silver and gold are in it for the long haul because the US govt spends money like they have a printing press....because they do. We are all waiting for the hyperinflation that inevitably comes with a terrible monetary policy. If the world ever decides to drop the US as the reserve currency you’re looking at astronomical prices for precious metals. It happened to the UK in the 70’s and their interest rates shot up to double digits overnight. I like to look at it as my way of saving money but keeping it out of the bank. If it’s in PM’s then I have to really need it to be able to spend it. So far I’ve got about 700 oz silver and 10 oz gold. I don’t expect to be retired if shit ever hits the fan but hopefully it will be there to get me through the really bad times so I can survive through to the recovery. I really wish I could have bought more during the recent dip but the inventory was non existent. I’m ok with what I’ve got though. Pic related, it’s my most recent purchase from about 2 months ago.

There is still lots of silver available in here Germany. The following website allows you to compare prices for various coins from different online dealers in Germany.

The word “Preisvergleich“ translated means “price comparison”. In Germany there is a 7% sales tax for certain silver coins and 19% for silver in general while gold remains completely tax free. The demand for silver has therefore been here comparatively low. Conclusively most forms of silver are still in stock and are even available in larger quantities. Premiums have also not risen as much as in other places so that prices are still comparatively low here despite the aforementioned tax. Remember that these prices do not include shipping and some offers are only presale/preorder. Also expect shipping to take significantly longer because of the China virus.

I almost bought two mint tubes of 2020 gold eagles. I don’t like the buffalos (bisons) as much for the design, but its 24k pure gold. Maybe I should buy a tube of each? 10% more or less gold makes a massive difference in appearance.
