Cope. It just shows you how vulnerable “passive investors” are to the market. Those with actively managed portfolios could’ve sold as soon as the sell-off began and preserved their wealth.

Meanwhile ETF cucks lost 5 years of “dollar cost averaging” and “minimal risk returns”

How can you sell ''as soon as the sell-off begins'' ?
When there are those pandemic events you gotta be super fast to sell or you will get a shit price to sell to
You should have sold before the Corona virus news but that was a bull marcet
no one could have imaged a black swan
Now it's moment to super buy obv because the sell it was priced in and now the ''buying'' it's going to be priced in too

If ya wait too much you gonna lose a second opportunity to be ahead

I was already wary of the ridiculous 40% rally SPY had a whole year before. Then governments started enacting mass economic shutdowns worldwide with a time horizon of weeks to months, basically a guarantee for at least a half year's economic recession. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of trying to time dumps but this was one everyone who stays current on the economy should have seen. The market grows on the constant assumption of greater growth. A RETRACTION is unfathomable and obliterates confidence.

Boomers turned the stock market into the worlds shittiest casino with day trading and seemingly infinite leverage. The only way to retire is to either hop on the real estate train, and take money form other people every month forever, or get really good at reading and acting on market trends. The days of letting your money work for you are over.

>> No.18132474

the reality is, few people will ever be able to retire. timing the market, time in the market, none of these things matter anymore. Fractional reserves hit zero and will never be going back up, the fed is printing money like it's going out of style.
