It's more archaic language or stylistic choices, not dumbass euphemisms for everything.

But there has been an effort recently for lawyers to stop writing verbose advice and use 'plain english'. I have noticed it's quite rare for people to use outdated words that 'hereinafter' 'aforesaid' etc. it would only be the boomers that continue to.
