You have no idea how important this recently announced partnership with Kava actually is for Chainlink. This is the first instance of public blockchain interoperability for Chainlink. Essentially, Chainlink is beginning to move away from projects built solely on the Ethereum blockchain, and will begin to integrate the LINK token into other blockchains. ETH doesn’t currently scale? No problem, use Kava, or Quorum, or Hyperledger, or Tezos and so on.

Granted, the LINK token bridge is not fully functional on Kava yet. Here’s their current implementation using wrapped LINK:
“All Tendermint blockchains can make requests for Chainlink data by sending a query to the Kava blockchain. They will pay for these Chainlink oracle services on Kava in a wrapped LINK token transferred from the existing LINK (an ERC-20 token) which will be bridged cross-chain onto the Kava platform so that it can be used to pay the Chainlink Oracles for their services and implement the upcoming capability of using LINK for staking.“

Ultimately the cross-chain bridge to enable payment in LINK is currently in the works however:
“Additionally, Kava will build a cross-chain bridge to enable LINK (an ERC-20 token) to be used natively as payment and staking collateral for oracle services through Kava.”

This is another pivotal moment for Chainlink as they begin to branch out from Ethereum to capture utility on other blockchains, ultimately increasing the network effect and overall usage of the LINK token.

By the way, notice that last part in the quote about staking?

Since there were two quotes and both referenced staking, I should be more clear.

Great find Anon. This further shows that Chainlink’s progress is not reliant on Ethereum’s.

I noticed another interesting statement in the article:
“Chainlink is the most decentralized oracle network we’ve seen by far. It has hundreds of nodes and progressively greater guarantees for its highest quality nodes.”

What did they mean by hundreds of nodes? Market.link does not show hundreds...

In case you didn't know...

Link is owned by people who shill for it 24 / 7 and have no intention of actually using the link itself because its functionality is literally garbage and it is overshadowed by superior cryptos.

If these people weren't shilling for link nonstop and creating artificial hype there's a real chance link would seriously be like .3 cents right now.

Linkies only hold on to the shitcoin because they hope one day the crypto will moon. If there was no hope that link would moon everybody would sell and there would be zero demand for it.

>It makes sense to only have one decentralized oracle network
Chainlink is a CENTRALIZED oracle network. 25 nodes KYCed by 1 person, Sergey.

There is absolutely NO consensus algorithm for the oracles. Without KYC, the entire thing crumbles. They have no solution for this. (Though they lie and say they will, "one day")

And these 25 nodes receive 0 jobs, because Chainlink has 0 users. There is absolutely ZERO first mover advantage in the DECENTRALIZED oracle space.

And they're actually way behind the centralized oracles space as well. No one uses Chainlink in production whereas there's countless centralized oracles with thousands of users like Maker, Augur, etc. How about you learn to code and stop embarrassing yourself brainlet?
