Depends on the brokerage and what account type you have. In general, the normalfaggot can't trade NYSE after hours. Those are Futures. You can typically upgrade your account when you git gud. Reading the links in the OP I have a question.

How exactly is this happening? Is that meaning the next day at opening the stock is now at $7.5? Can you turn off your stop sale the before closing that day to avoid it selling at $7.5? This all depends on the liquidity? Anyone can better explain liquidity? Reading up on it.

Low liquidity means nobody is looking to buy at $x. So if your shares start losing value, they're becoming illiquid due to decreased demand. It's the inverse for liquid stocks. These are correlated with supply/demand as well as market caps and P/E ratios and speculative equity. Bad news makes shit low liquidity, price (equity) must decline in order to sell it. Then there's shit like where a bank defaults and that's illiquid, nobody will touch it.

There is such a thing as halts and premarket. A stock can close at 15 and open at 7.5 the next day thanks to premarket trading. Liquidity is the measure of how easily you can enter and exit a position. To use a real world example, money is liquid but a shopping mall isn't. You can trade money in quickly but it can take years to sell a mall, hence, money is more liquid than malls
