Free tip, check out AFLYY if you do want to go airlines, Air France is a very established airline that does a lot of travel between the US and Europe, as well as within Europe, with Paris as its center. Very vulnerable, likely to get bailed out because France, but not included in plans for US airline bailouts because not US company.

is there any advantage to buying a long call over the individual stock if the long call is more expensive?

like 1 call for 100 shares is $500 but the individual stock only costs $50 so you could just buy the stock for the same price and hold the physical security without fear of depreciation over time. why are options like this more expensive than the underlying stock?

From what I understand, with a call you're expecting the future price of the stock to increase past the strike price of the options contract. If the stock does indeed move past the strike price and then some, then the call you have immediately becomes more valuable as you have the right to purchase those 100 securities at a cheaper rate. Additionally volatility factors into option pricing, as it rises (indicating that greater option price movement is expected), the more option premiums increase.

A person attended a coronavirus party in Kentucky and then tested positive for the virus, Gov. Andy Beshear said at a news conference Tuesday.

The governor said he hopes he doesn’t have to speak about this incident again and reminded himself to forgive the person who attended the party.
