I switched back and forth between calls and puts 7 times during the day. I hold, usually, no more than an hour or so at a time. Buying 3/25 expiration.

I watch the ticker basically nonstop and switch positions once it stalls out in a movement for a long enough time. 1% moves up and down, when you're buying 200 options at 150k, generate ~$30k a pop.

Days like today are actually absolute goldmines for day trading, since if you buy too early you can just wait for the momentum to reverse and get out with a minimal loss, or even a tiny gain. The sideways movement today let me have my best day yet - here's my 1 day portfolio view.

Many might have no choice despite Trump's insistence on getting back to normal after the 15 day period is up. State governors will keep people sheltered in place and working remotely while the case count continues to rise, and with two of the most populous states (California and New York) having high case rates that will affect the economy for a while. IMO the bump you see in pre-market trading and possibly over the course of 3/24 will just be a typical reaction to a large drop the previous day, but it will be temporary and continue to fall in the days to come
