Just got off the phone with my insider guy at the federal reserve, he said hyperinflation is a very big worry of the federal reserve, but if they don't keep minting more USD everything falls even more. There is a very high probability that globally, fiat will come crashing down to monopoly money tier value. The pyramid will funnel back into true money, quadrillions of worthless paper seeking refuge. If you do not have a stack I suggest you pick up a bag before it's too late, this is accelerating much faster than I could have predicted. For those already high IQ enough to pick up a sack, HOLD until the new financial paradigm. A new monetary system will be established very soon.

He also told me he was at a party with Jamie Dimon, and Jamie told him they're gonna dump 1/100th of the silver reserves they have sitting in the basement of the JP Morgan building in Manhattan over the next coming months. He says its equivalent to the total amount of silver in circulation as of today.

Compare the current slow down in economic activity to that of a regular recession. Realize that is not just a recession but an economic ice age.

1. Most shops are closed and most factories aren’t producing anything anymore. Most people will therefore end up effectively unemployed and lots of business will go bankrupt. People will become insolvent and default on loans and mortgages. Banks will not get their money back and then only end up with securities/assets that are dropping in value really fast which are now also illiquid to the point of being impossible to sell.

2. Once people start figuring this out they will start taking their money out of the banks compounding the original problem creating further liquidity issues in the banking sector. Borrowers may meanwhile also attempt to delay payments to their lender in hopes that a given bank that they owe money to will die before they have to pay the money back. And lastly banks will also stop lending to one another creating a total credit freeze on the inter bank lending and repo market.

3. Since many big corporations and banks are furthermore insured by derivatives in fantastic volumes it is enough for only one such firm to fail anywhere in this world to start the chain of falling dominos that will collapse most of the worlds financial system. Out of fear nobody will issue any longer any of these derivatives anymore stopping prolongations and rollovers or increase premiums to the point where nobody will be able to afford them anymore.

4. Because of this M0 and M1 will initially remain constant but M2, M3 and the derivatives market will collapse resulting in a crashing stock market and financial institutions getting killed from lack of liquidity alone. To stop the complete collapse of the world s financial system central banks will be forced to increase M0 so much that the money supply (including derivatives) stays the same in total. Expect therefore several hundred trillion dollars to be printed until June and then used in repo operations to buy any falling paper asset in the market. With investments failing everywhere banks will also require bailouts on top of that just to stay afloat creating a moral hazard of infinite proportions.

Physical silver is more expensive today with the premiums being charged than it was when spot was at $18. Nobody is selling at a loss here with premiums as high as they are. The only way dealers can charge such crazy premiums (some as high as 250% if you look at Libertads) is because of demand.

I also wonder what the end game is. Basically, it seems to be socialism/communism, where all taxpayers contribute to keeping the stock market up, and a deficit is always kept running so that you and me, taxpayers, are debt slaves to continuous interest payments on all the money printing. Is there a way though for us to benifit from or short circuit the system?

OP, excuse me but why the fuck are precious metals valuable? I mean really, why would it be better to have gold or silver than it would be to simply have enough physical items or property to barter with?

What is the guarantee that people will still value Gold and Silver in a time of crisis? I know it's cliche because it's always been valuable but there's really no reason for it.

I'd much rather own a thousand acres of property or have a rare form of popular food or crops than I would Gold. Gold and silver are only valuable as long as other people find them valuable, there is nothing inherently valuable about them aside from their use in electronics

IMO cryptocurrencies are much more valuable than gold because they can convey information instead of just being a shiny heavy rock.

>> No.18044116

Fuck I don't know what to split my currency to. I got £33000 in bank the same again locked up in my house that I also have £134000 debt on.

WHERE DO I PUT MY MONEY

Metals and crypto are worth only what people think they are, currency is about to hyper inflate... What is historically safest when Western countries enter recession and hyperinflation? Stocks? Property?

>> No.18044187

>I mean really, why would it be better to have gold or silver than it would be to simply have enough physical items or property to barter with?

Money removes the need for coincidence of wants.

How many haircuts is a blowjob worth? How many eggs is my tax return worth to an accountant? Fuck you're stupid. We live in a highly, highly complex society, we're never going back to barter.

>IMO cryptocurrencies are much more valuable than gold because they can convey information instead of just being a shiny heavy rock.

Email protocol also conveys information. Face it, cryptos are just numbers on a screen, no intrinsic value.

I don't think it would get that bad in the US but I don't know. I do know that my great grandfather on my mother's side was a farmer and he survived throughout the great depression by selling off his farm piecemeal. The area that he sold became part of the grosse pointe neighborhood in detroit

Shiny dense rock will always be shiny dense rock. Digital assets have their pros, but so do physical ones. Depending on strategies either can be better during a crisis. I'd still rather hold shiny rock from before a crisis though, because crypto just dumps. When metals dump though, its not so sharply usually and there's the mind-share of the world who believe its valuable.

well in the event of societal breakdown there'd be no enforcement so it would be totally fine to use firearms to defend your property once the state loses control, indeed, it would probably be necessary

best place to buy silver or gold?

I don’t want to buy junk silver

>> No.18045255

why would you buy silver when you can buy gold?

There can only be space for one dominant non-monetary store of value. Why would a market balance irrationally around the production and demand of two different types of precious metals when it be just one? Government inventories have been increasing significantly the past 100 years for a reason whereas the their stock of silver has dropped precipitously.

Silver will trend towards 0. Silver served a purpose back in the day as its lower value relative to gold made it more divisible. The divisibility became a non-factor when paper/digital backed claims on gold allowed any miniscule denomination of gold.

Also I know what you are thinking shit cunt, but muh paper claims are worthless!. This is yet to be properly tested and the argument doesn't detract from the proven fact that there can, and only makes sense, for there to be one dominant precious metal store of value.

Why will mining companies be hit hard? They own the physical silver in the ground. They won't be forced to sell for spot if it turns out the spot prices are bullshit, they can negotiate their own contracts

>> No.18050211

>They own the physical silver in the ground
thats not how it works. A mining company owns a permit which allows them to explore the mineral rights to a certain property. They usually have to pay the land owner for the mineral they pull out of the ground, call it a cut, they pay a cut to the land owner, they pay a tax on what they pull out, but the mineral isn't theirs.

on a unrelated note to mining and in keeping with the spirit of the thread. I am getting into a mortgage as we speak, 70000 euros. I predict incredible inflation within a year or two after all this goes back to normal, the coming depression will be rough but we will get back to a normal within four to five years. best time now to do a lot of things, including, purchasing a home.
