reminds me of this one guy with his theory about civilizations having a life span of 250 years. and if we set the french revolution as the beginning of the current west, well, we've reached that time round about now.

Read a book that said every civilization falls the same way economically
>1) Start off with good money and a good economy and relative peace somewhere in it's history
>2) Government wants public works, schools, infrastructure, "muh roads", healthcare, welfare, etc. Government grows in size and central banking system is created if it didn't exist already
>3) Massive military machine is created due to the economic prosperity creating high aspirations for the civilization
>4) Machine put to use in wars since funding a military without using it is worthless
>5) Now citizens must be taxed higher and this combined with the public works starts to create inflation in the system causing the economy to become a shell of what it used to be
>6) Purchasing power of the currency is low, people have no real faith in their government, massive recessions and depressions occur with very little work and people want change
>7) Assets like housing, land, precious metals, arms, ammunition, and even food and water become more important than other assets causing the economy to essentially collapse
Look at Rome, Athens, early 18th century France, The continental US, even the Weimar Republic to an extent.
USA fills the bill perfectly, too.

The answer is obviously some kind of communism. Whether it will be global or regional depends on how China survives.

All this really shows is that investors as a whole are retards. It's a provable fact that the pandemic will be over in a few months and business will resume as normal once that happens.
