Stupid question maybe. Could someone explain to me why breaking down from the channel is a bigger deal than breaking up from the channel was in 2017/18? Why was that okay and why is this not okay. How is one different from the other.

>> No.17933319

good question anon, also why does it even matter, I guess the channel was always changing, been adjusted to the new price ranges before the previous bull run. Probably even the lows.

Now redraw the bottom line to account for the new low

Still. It's ridiculous to suggest breaking the one log support == going to 1000 when there is so much price history inbetween the two. There is strong support at 3200 and 2800. that is if we break down from current lows

The middle channel line is absolutely pointless and we have gone up and down it many times. We have NEVER broken down convincingy from the whole channel though... except now. What is so difficult to understand?

Breaking up from the channel equals price discovery / parabolic. there is no parabolic equivalent for when we go down.

Yes but we have broken UP from the channel only to then return to the mean or whatever it's called.

> What is so difficult to understand?
Why do you think this is the baddest bad news for btc price?

What are you talking about?
We have never broken up from the channel though. Never. We have broken up from the middle line. Not from the whole channel.

that's not true
in 2017 all eyes were on the middle channel and the upper line did not exist.

Think a little bit ahead.
Of course, there is going to be new bottom line drawn at some point. Imagine what it looks like now after this dump. It will be practically horizontal. That means 20k in the next 4 years is a pipe dream.

why could that 'practically horizontal' time not be like the a previous basing out period?

why does btc have to be in a channel at all.

Falling from the channel might even mean a shitcoin type of long capitulation until its out of the top 100.

if this plays out in a market where everything is crashing then yes. unironically a best case scenario
