Amazon announced they are suspending all shipments not related to Coronavirus medical supplies. How will the markets react to this?

>> No.17885408

all shipments to their warehouses* sellers have to use ups, usps, and fedex now and whatever global equivalents of those. it's obviously bad

>> No.17885422

Don't leave out that they're suspending shipments TO THEIR WAREHOUSES. Discretionary items can still be ordered online but will not be stocked in Amazon facilities.

Obviously:

Bad

Not so obviously:

Extremely bad

Because it's a sign of deep infrastructure problems when the biggest delivery company in the world, which is heavily integrated to the point of having it's own air fleet and should be absolutely surging in demand.... Can't operate.

It's a big sign that everything is all fucked and going sideways fast.

What do you think the effect will be when Amazon warehouses start running low? They can't ship what isnt in stock.

You retard they are telling their sellers that usually send their goods to Amazon to be sold as “Fulfilled by Amazon” to stop sending non-essential items to them. The sellers will need to handle shipping on their own for purchases on Amazon’s site. Amazon will continue selling and shipping everything that doesn’t involve a seller.

>> No.17886369

i'd suspend a shipment of medical semen in that ass if you know what i'm saying, i'd get a blue ribbon for tapping that phat ass if you know what i'm saying

You completely failed to see the inevitable next step you dumb fuck. If items are not being stocked they cannot be shipped. This is an impending supply chain breakdown.

>> No.17886959

>>17885351
i think fba people get screwed and weren't given any advance notice. amazon sellers who ship it themselves aren't affected afaik.

Items are being stocked, in suppliers warehouses instead of shipping them off to Amazon. This is because Amazon can't handle the influx of demand with it's own supply, so Amazon is picking what should be directly shipped through their partners and what should be stocked by Amazon. The Chinese have just started bringing their factories back online and they have to makeup for the last month of quarantine.

>> No.17887429

>>17886934
They are not putting a stop to warehouse resupply of Amazon’s own inventory. They are essentially just putting a hold on most “Fulfilled by Amazon” which is where 3rd party sellers send their inventory to Amazon so that Amazon can handle the storage and shipping when someone buys it on Amazon.

>> No.17887529

>>17885351
They already did
