I am dumb. I can't understand this. Please explain.
Doesn't the economy always recover? It did even in 1929. It did after 2008.
If you just hold things long enough and don't sell, doesn't it always go back up if you can just toughen it out?

I promise I'm not being dumb on purpose. I'm sorry.

It did even after world wars. Japan recovered even after being nuked. Europe recovered even after the plague.
What is different this time?

After the 1929 crash, the economy recovered after 35 years. Good luck.

But will bitcoin recover? That’s the more important question.

didn't the 1929 stockmarket crash take like 15 years to recover though?

Yes, it always recovers one way or another.
Read up on the Weimar Republic if you need a good example

Well it will certainly recover but after such a crisis our institutions will have to be re-evaluated and that can be a painful process that is however healthy in the long run but are they gonna re-evaluate fiat? Unfortunately probably not
