Where are the suicides? Dow dropped 31.75% of its value in the span of a month from its all time high in early February?

Hyperbole by every social studies teacher everywhere led you to believe mass suicides occurred after the market crash nearly a century ago. I don't think that shit really happens.

>>17861094
The suicide rate during the crash dropped actually.

Because we warned you, rope stocks skyrocketted. Boomers are so broke they can't even afford ropes right now.

>> No.17864613

No suicides because boomers still think we're all good and we're just going to instantly recover.
In two months as we're still down and there's no sign of a recovery, you're going to see a whole lot of angry people as they realize their pensions are getting cut and it's 10-20 years of waiting to hit these numbers again.
People are so used to the market being invincible and the government being able to save everyone, that the reality hasn't set in yet. But it will eventually.

why commit suicide when you can go outside and lick a pole?

Now that's a bit of a fucking hyperbole. It only took 4 years to recover after 2008.

>> No.17865740

>>17865222
It took Japan 15 years to hit a bottom and they never even recovered. These markets don't always recover like you'd expect.
And keep in mind that 2008 was halted through printing money, it wasn't a proper market cycle.
This time around printing isn't going to work and the situation is quite different. This is like 2008 but taken to the absolute breaking point regarding debt.
The recovery can easily be in the range of +10 years.

this its 30 fucking years later and japan never recovered
in 30 years of inflation and economic growth all they managed was to ge to 60% of their ATH in 1990 and they are crashing again
and this was when they had a still functioning world to sell goods to
when this things goes, and its doing so at the moment, its gonna be big
