This. Volatility is *crazy* right now. Put in a limit at a price you're comfortable paying and ride it out for the day. The markets are beyond fundamentals right now, trading mostly on sentiment. You can't make good predictions this way. Hindsight is always 20/20, just make good decisions given the information you have available *now*. If you're happy with your decision/trade it won't matter that it's not "optimal".

>>17838997
>>17839033
Only buy what you understand at least on a basic level.
And "tomorrow" is very far away now, pretty much beyond forecasting. We don't even have a good grasp what the markets will close at today. The volatility is insane. Expect a massive slide down, but whether we see a massive rebound (my guess) or a continuing trend is anyone's guess.

A lot of finance faggots just don't seem to get that this is the absolute collapse of the world economy. There will be local economies which might survive, like China, but I think they'll have to go to war to maintain any sort of stability and the US won't be in any position to intervene. The US is going to have to come up with a new system. Think about just how many people will be out of work, how ARMED everyone in the US is, and what unemployed people are supposed to do to get food for them and their families. We will HAVE to enact some sort of universal basic income, and we have to hope that it's implemented SWIFTLY and decisively at the moment of collapse. Do you think we'll do anything like that? Do you think we're ready? I've been waiting for this day for 15 years, back when I found out the world economy was a pyramid scheme based on debt and held together by hope and blissful ignorance. Damn near gave myself an ulcer worrying about it all this time, and now that it's here I feel... free.

HHS has said they don't expect COVID-19 to PEAK for 8 more weeks (and even that's assuming everything goes right and we turn back the pandemic, which they don't actually think will happen).

If everything goes wrong but we get a summer break, it peaks in October or November. Else it peaks June or July.

To be absolutely, abundantly clear, ANYONE talking about "weeks" in reference to COVID-19 is either giving you bad news, lying to you, or an idiot. We're in a "months" situation.

If most of their money is bonds, and they lost 200k in stocks last week, than they have more than 1 mil in bonds, and that part of their portfolio is doing insanely well. At the end of the year, if they rebalance their portfolio if shit really has hit the fan, then they’ll be buying a bunch of cheapies.

Dunno man, we may adapt to this or keep from from totally overwhelming the hospitals, and managing until we find whichever antivirals work best for treatment.

It sucks if they lose all their stocks, but if they don’t have to sell it isn’t the end of the world.

Unless it is the end of the world. In which case it won’t matter too much however much they lose in stocks.
