Biz, red pill me on XMR. Yes, tribalists and privacy purists say "it's the only true digital currency" to be used as a payment.

But, like ETH and BTC, it used to be $1 or less. Why would it gain over ETH / BTC , and more specifically, GRIN or BEAM?

Shill me at these low prices and maybe I will begin DCA'ing.

!) fairly launched
2) large community
3) best privacy
4) monetary policy set from day 1
5) not a scam

all the other privacy coins have no community, shittier tech, and were not fairly launched or have a dev tax or some stupid bullshit with the governance

I get that, but...this shit was UNDER a dollar for like 2 years.

Couldn't miners just BTFO everybody and sell this fucking shit down to $2 again?

they already did and they will again when it hits $5,000 per coin, just like how bitcoin works

XMR is king of the privacy coins and arguably the best, soundest money available anywhere today. Comfy af to hold. Will eventually be banned, which will be a testament to the fact that it actually works. Market price after that day, who the fuck knows, but it will be sought after.

this is what i was assuming but thanks. last time i was hear someone was telling me they were pulling trustless zero knowledge proofs, which be insane and a huge deal so i was interested (think zach’s without the trusted set up). but the site smelled like pajeets , but the cap was low at the time.

is anyone doing trustless ZK proof privacy stuff yet?

Beam & grin have excellent potential and I look forward to see how they perform. However, monero has a track record of working at scale. We shall see how it goes, I welcome the competition.

XMR is what normies imagine bitcoin as being. bitcoin isn't anonymous, it isn't private, it isn't fungible. XMR is. Most privacy coins fucked up their fungibility (once it's gone, you can never get it back) or are just XMR clones. XMR was even proven effective against US state intervention (an undisclosed amount of XMR). XMR is the smart money, but the problem is it's such smart money it goes over the normies heads. honestly, if they worked out a good, secure, lightweight client, it would fucking explode, but they take security over function so it's still a bit of a pain to use.

I think that’ll depend on how low Boomercoin decides to dump. XMR is holding up remarkably well in sats.

2) it's the only other coin that's actually decentralized that isn't a scam that has an actual market besides bitcoin

it's because it has lower inflation than boomercoin.

That said both xmr and btc are about 60 days away of going bellow fiat inflation rates.
