Aight boys big red dicks don't look like they're goin flacid any time soon and the impending SPY dump is gonna burn through any of the braking the rate cuts have had over the last few weeks. Whats your play? Forex? Options? Metals? For me its almost all in on gold ETFs anticipating a continuous dump all week next week. Also considering Westpac puts for the next fortnight as the quantitative easing measures probably wont slow down

You can go the tinfoil hat route and buy gold bullion from a dealer and keep it under your mattress or just buy ETF Gold on whatever online broker you use. I did the latter since ill probably hold till mid week, take inventory of how likely more QE in the states is and then sell or hold. Gold is just insulation for the bulk of your capital but know that if the virus vaccine appears any time while you're holding youll get fucked

I doubt it will go lower than 0.61, in 2008 we dropped from 0.956 to 0.64. The US will feel the inflative brunt of their desperate fiscal policy and that will bring the AUD's buying power up a little.

Nice dubs but I asked a legitimate question as to what markets he is refering to as to timing them.

since im not him I cant speak for exactly what he meant but my experience translates his statement to "dont try go all in on one entry when you think its hit the bottom, wait for the innitial daily dump to occur in the first 30 minutes and then put a little in during every dip to temper your losses if we see a dead cat that catches some steam". As for what market I presume he's referring to NYSE.

Is a Vanguard index fund a good buy for some risk averse noob? I'd like to get my lifelong boomer investment option started, and this seems a good time while its on sale.

My question is, can these index funds 'fail'? Why is there only 1 in Australia? What would happen to my money if the entire executive team were killed in a helicopter crash? What if the fund doesn't exist 40 years from now?

FED will QE if market records losses multiple days in a row. Just like last week the markets will pump and gold will sell off and go down. The FED has shown multiple times over the last month that they will pour every penny they have into their disabled childs life support in the hope that they'll wake up from their coma. I probably wont sell the whole position but definately will look to reduce exposure to the FED mid week.

>> No.17836245

Keep the strategy you're most comfortable with. Don't be silly and short late because it's been going down lately. While we are most likely going lower who knows what's going to happen between there and now.
