What do they do? Go up in value until they crash? They are just partial ownership of a company, if the company isn't booming they're a liability. Same goes with literally any kind of investment.

Stocks are tied to real companies that produce. They are assets that are more heavily regulated and protected under the security and exchange commission.

Crypto the tokens are not priced in from company performance and optimism. But just optimism. There is no profits and no earning reports. The tokens are not tied to the company but are “utility” tokens that may or may not have a function that will provide value in the future. At any time the developers could dump their stacks and they’d get no repercussions because they are not bounded to the rule of the sec
