Apparently (watching CNN) Oregon doesn't have the testing capacity to even test sick doctors who have been treating patients. This is worse than Italy, this is Wuhan writ large.

What else do you think it is?

Is the government supposed to stop all murders, all rapes, all evil deeds?

That's not why we exist.

It's supposed to be a world full of "choices", good vs evil, stupid vs smart, and lucky vs unlucky.

This simulation isn't about perfect. Let the virus run, let the people who want to die, die.

They are 55+

they know what the flu is
they know what a more dangerous flu is

the government isn't here to baby them. If a 60 year old diabetic goes to a NBA game let them die. Don't cancel the NBA.

We should act in accordance with God. Let the virus run it's course. Let individuals decide. Stop this attitude of the government authority telling us what to do or not.

No lockdowns in USA
No Quarantines in USA

let us have some good old fashioned natural selection again

REPO OPERATIONS
Okay folks. I did the math. I'm really tired so bear with me here.
There's been the question as to if repo operations is basically money created out of thin air for "assets" (the actual risk weighted value of those assets I have not seen yet, so we will leave them out of the equation, considering it is not cash for cash swapping). So, to start off we started with a cumulative cash supply of 15.4 trillion in the USA according to this post
https://www.quora.com/How-much-money-is-there-in-the-United-States
Feel free to find the multiple sources yourselves, but I assume it to be pretty close. Next we have about 1.2trillion (1,223,208,000,000) in repo operations from the New York Fed alone. https://apps.newyorkfed.org/markets/autorates/tomo-results-display?SHOWMORE=TRUE&startDate=01/01/2000&enddate=01/01/2000
So what we do next is find the supposed percentage gain.
Money supply+supposed created money from repo operations which comes out to about 16.62 trillion (16,623,208,000,000). Now we take 16623208000000/15400000000000=x/100.
(16623208000000x100)/15400000000000 which equals 107.94290909090%. Subtract 100 (principle) and we get 7.94290909090% current inflation rate, assuming the money was created, the assets are worthless, and so on and so forth. It's only March but realistically what is the Fed going to do with bank assets. i could go on and on about this, but found this worth looking into, though I'm probably not accounting for everything as I am tired. 7.94290909090%. Meaning 7.94290909090% less buying power for the dollar, 7.94290909090% more hours you now have to work to attain the same goods/services, and so on and so forth. Hopefully there is some tax reliefs for sure this year but we shall see.

its because of how our testing works dummy. if you were intelligent you would be buying private testing companies right now because Trump just announced all red tape has been cut and CDC will be partnering with private US companies to mass produce tests

you dont know shit about government and how it works. CDC wanted to control everything, based on their previous regulations and operatiing procedures which were put in place way before Trump ever thought about running for presidency. when the government produces official shit, everything down to the font size and color of ink on packaging is stipulated and no deviations are allowed. CDC wanted their tests to be uniform and compatible with their existing influenza test processing equipment. the problem is scale of production, CDC couldnt churn out the tests fast enough due to scale of pandemic and government bureaucracy. Trump is smart to force them out and let the private industry take over. have you ever gone through TSA while flying? now imagine people with that level of intelligence and "motivation" sitting around in pointless meetings determining diversity representation in the teams who are drafting "test protocols" 2 times a day, while they check their iphones and post cuck stories to reddlit for upvotes.

We're trying to help you escape the bull trap. Repent. God will punish you for your inflated valuations, which spit in the face of the economic Law that He created.

Do you think the S&P 500 is on an upward trajectory after entering a bear market following the longest bull market in history? Do you think your great hubris shall not be punished by an equally great demise? You defy the very reason which God has granted us.

Yes, yes indeed. Play with your little calls and little bullish bets. But one day, at the height of your ecstasy and sinful speculation, at the height of your success and your glory, the Lord shall rip the mat from under you and it all will come tumbling down. Darkness and damnation will wash over you, and Fortune, the great whore and vicious bitch which you clung to in your idolatrous worship, will cackle at your woe and lamentations.

You laugh and you bounce, robed in the ermine cloak of vainglory, laughing and giggling as death surges up around you, laughing at the wise words and prudent counsel of the prophets who know the Law and the Will of the Lord, laughing at Noah and his Ark, basing your anticipation of the future not on the rock and the reason of the Lord but on the shifting sands of vague and transient sentiment and the babbling of bureaucrats.

You know not the flood that awaits you and you will be drowned. Such is the Will and the Law of the Lord, and it is good.

That seems like an odd perspective unless maybe you plan on dying before using it and have no one to pass it on to. The government gives a chance to trade stocks and pay 0% tax on the gains! Who would pass that up? Even if you plan on dying young with no errors, why would you want to take out the money anyway? You're here because you like owning and trading stocks. Are you going to just cash out all your stocks one day?

Another thing to consider is that ROTH accounts do allow withdrawing the amount contributed, and have some provisions for withdrawing earnings, so it's no as if the money in their is entirely locked up.

I suspect that panic-buying wouldn't be a good basis for picking stocks. Even if there are record sales over the near term, the overall consumption of certain goods won't necessarily be changed in any significant way over the long term. I think that would be true of toilet paper and most food items. Something like bleach, it seems like people may be using more of it by regularly using it as a disinfectant, where they would not do under normal circumstances, but even though consumption may be greater in the near term, bleach consumption would return to normal whenever the coronavirus panic subsides. Furthermore, it's hard to say that this near-term increase in consumption, which is no genius insight, is not being accounted for in the current market prices. Isn't Clorox stock kind of pricey anyway?

Ding – Establishing The New
Li (Fire) over Xun (Wind)

Sequence of Gua: For changing thing absolutely, there is nothing ebtter than a ding. Thus, after Abolishing the Old, Establishing the New follows.

Decision
Establishing the New
Supreme good fortune.
Prosperous and Smooth

Commentary on Decision:
Ding
An image of a sacrificial vessel
When wood is put into fire,
It is cooking.

When the holy person cooked,
He was preparing offerings to the Lord of Heaven.
When he made a great feast,
He was nourishing holy persons and those with worthy virtues.

Through gentleness,
His ears become clear and eyes sharp.
The yielding advances and goes upward.

It obtains the central position
and finds respondence with the firm.
There is supreme prosperity and smoothness.

There were no moving lines.

2. We can't dismiss it as nothing anymore, but we can afford to tell the truth. (Shortly After Wuhan Whistleblow)
3. We can't afford to tell the truth anymore, but we can modify it just a little. (Wuhan Deaths, Infections Skyrocket)
4. We can't modify it just a little anymore, so we'll dismiss it as nothing. (Spreads to Other Cities, Cases, Deaths Skyrocket)

Their current position of 'zero new cases outside of Wuhan' is outrageous as their initial position of 'there is no outbreak'. They've come full circle in their lies because they have lost control. Why are they aggressively pounding on the U.S. over COVID-19 this week? Isn't it not a problem for them anymore? Shouldn't they be relieved and friendly since they successfully eradicated the disease? Really forces you to contemplate.

If you believe a snap quarantine in nyc would lead to less deaths than more via the absolute chaos that would ensue, you are a tard.

This is not China, Chang. We do not weld people inside their apartments to save those who got lifestyle diseases via their own poor choices.

Restricting access to/of nursing homes and the elderly is reasonable and should have been done however.

I was just at safeway and costco today. Costco had lineups all the way back to the meat department, it was insane. Just straight up walked out.

Then we went to safeway, half the meat section was empty, no water at all, and they had a line up at the deli to buy groceries.

I've never seen anything like this, utter insanity. This is like 9/11.

But I suspect their real estate and rides and slides and whatever IP they have has to be worth something.

It's better for the government to know when the chaos will occur, prepare accordingly, and then cause the chaos than for it to wait until the mob is banging at the door of the Mayor.

National Guard rolling up to every street corner followed by snap quarantine & rationing measures (and accompanying stimulus) would be infinitely better than what is coming.

Priced in mostly. The real shit will begin once companies start making people stay home over litigation problems.

This is actually worse than a regular quarantine because it will drag on longer. Unless we go full China, this shit is going to keep spreading.

Highly doubt you are still here (but maybe someone else would care to answer if you are not): Why wouldn't they ban it earlier? Korea and Italy both did. IDK about Germany at this time. But this is a pandemic now, and I think they (and especially Trump) are very afraid of the stock market going to decently below 2008 levels (which seems fair to me, considering market cap over gdp and how low markets typically fall in the peak of a recession). We saw how they injected so much money into the market today. Tomorrow I'll try to calculate total value of the stocks, and what it would take to increase the market by ~9%, because that was very likely strictly fed-financed stock buys today. If they're willing to do that, what else are they willing to do?

BTW: quickly checking barchart.com for today's top gainers in both percentage gain and by shares traded can yield a tentative list of companies deemed acceptable investments using Fed money, IMHO. (It doesn't mean these stocks will go up again in the future though, or even stay the same price.) Ideally we would find a way to see where these fed investments are going. There's got to be a screener that can fish this out.
