I've been reading about how people can make money by buying products direct from suppliers in china and reselling them on Amazon for a higher price. Have any of you ever done this? How much money can you make from it?

Get a job. The Chinese will fuck you and it's only cheap because they're keeping their currency devalued. When that stop, it won't matter. Those markets are saturated. And after shipping and retailer fees and more, you won't have nice margins anyways. You have to be high volume established sellers to compete at this point or you're selling at a loss.

>they're keeping their currency devalued
They stopped that a decade ago, and these days they're selling foreign reserves to prop up the yuan. Which supports your point that the time to get in on this has passed.

So dropshipping from Aliexpress is dead too?

I was actually thinking of buying a bunch of fancy Chinese backpacks cheap, and reselling for high price during "Back To School" season for a profit...

Any thoughts on this plan?
