Why aren't traders treating Bitcoin like the hedge it is?

A hedge can't be as volatile as BTC. People want something stable when they hedge.

The only thing that might result in a pump from this crisis is international capital flight as people seek to maneuver around capital controls.

BTC a hedge against inflation not deflation

It’s still a speculative asset. People do not invest in that during times of crisis....maybe in 5 or 10 years it’ll be gold 2.0 but for now it’s still magical internet money for drug dealers.

Invest in gold and silver. There can be only one hedge.

>> No.17699824

Because bitcoin is worthless. No intrinsic value and only held up by speculation.

>> No.17699847

Hedging is stupid. Go all in if you think it will go up.

traders are idiots and don't understand BTC. they try to place it in their basket of investments and expect it to behave as a backup place to put your money.

they don't realize yet that it is the primary place to put your money. the hedge of BTC reveals itself when there is a monetary crisis, which is not what is going on right now.

because it's worth literally nothing

>doesn't function as a store of value
>has no utility whatsoever
>incapable of functioning like a currency

BTC shills are either grifters trying to dump their bags or retards trying to cope their heavy bags away.

Agreed. It's just worthless.

Even if they did, they are going to cash in their hedge to offset losses in other positions.

Stonks go down, they sell other positions, including btc
