There are more and more dollars on a market in form of savings, money market funds etc. But dollar is hardly efected.
Printed dollar is same as one on a bank account, so how can it both multiply and keep value?

curious about this also, we should have seen major inflation but there really isn't any major inflation - a new car today is not that much more expensive than a new car 10 or 20 years ago.
My own theory is that this new money is not circulating properly in the economy, it more or less stay in financial markets.
So you end up with two economies that are somewhat isolated, the "real" economy that is based on labour and consumption, and the paper economy were numbers just balloon but don't affect the real economy.

That could be it. Average person never heard of money market funds, yet rich use it as a cash parking.
Them hoarding dollars might keep it's scarecity.
Solid theory imo.

look at yourself
can't even spot inflation when it stares you in the face
I remember a time when a few years of wageslavery could by you a home, a car and all the other basic stuff needed.
you cucks adapted to getting cucked 24/7 and will never dare to do anything so will get cucked harder and harder

this. Millennials aren't buying houses and have little to no savings because things are getting more expensive (inflation) while their wages stagnate

i didnt say its keeping its value 100% im saying its not drastiacally falling and will not in the near future with all the corona shit because they still need it. When they find an alternative it will be used.
I know USD is worthless shit on a "trust standard", i know its printed on demand and that its infalted to shit. But its not as bad as others for time being beacause there isnt a real substitute ATM

Do you have an alternative proposal for an item to represent value in a trade between parties? Crypto is out I’m afraid because it will need to change hands between the technologically illiterate and right now money fits the bill pretty well because you can give some to someone just by handing them some paper slips. No technology or electricity or knowledge required beyond how to perform simple arithmetic and read numbers.

Like i said, it doesnt exist yet, thats why the dollar works for now. But I assure you they WILL replace it with the new generations that grow up with iPads in their hands since they were 3 years old. Electronic currency is easier to transfer and monitor so it will surely be a priority to implement once the current 30yr olds die off or become irrelevant.
