I got a B.S. in busines admininstration w/ focus in marketing. But nobody told me that this degree was just as worthless as a liberal arts/womens studies degree.

I fell for the meme. why not kms i cant get a job anywhere. diversity hire is a meme too im hispanic nobody cares about that either. the only jobs that are hiring are macys for 9 dollars an hour retail cuck.

dont fall for the business degree meme bros.

I got a marketing degree in May 2019 and am making six figures

>> No.17586958

Have same degree but decided to go into IT instead. 6 figure salary now. A lot of the time if you're not an idiot they just care about the piece of paper.

The harsh truth is that any degree can be useless or useful depending on how well you can sell yourself. Someone who networks or maybe even was lucky enough to already be born into a wealthy, well-connected family could become successful with a Women’s Studies degree because their dad knows the boss of some company, while someone with a more lucrative degree could be incapable of finding a job. It’s about how you market yourself. Unfortunately, the importance of a college degree is highly overrated today, leading undergrads and fresh graduates to think that merely having the piece of paper will make them attractive to employers. In an increasingly competitive job market, you’re increasingly screwed if you didn’t take chances to network and even find internships. Not saying I agree with it, just saying that’s how it is.

You're supposed to network DURING college when you got a business degree so you land a job.
It's not like you're doing med school, you have a shitton of free time.

That's just how some things work. Realistically though what I meant was cash flows. So you have income sources that are people. To make that connection and cashflow there has to be some sort of relationship. Without it you're just a guy on a boat out in a desert with all of these ponds near you.

then you honestly have no one to blame but yourself

if you have bad people skills, why the fuck would you pick a degree in something that is almost exclusively about dealing with other people in a professional environment? shouldve went finance or economics and became an accountant if you didnt like people
