Even worse: There are people on this board that bought Request Network instead of Chainlink.

And I was one of them

anyone know's the deal they got with SEC? I had participated in their ICO and then sold at a loss shortly after, wondering if I can get a refund

Anyone know, was there a specific reason why the SEC was going after ENG? Was it because they encouraged the publix to accumulate enough ENG to stake a node? Or is this part of a more generalized ERC20 crackdown?

Basically, should I expect that the same bullshit is going to come down on LINK eventually? Or did Chainlink team take better measures to protect themselves from SEC's wrath?

Chainlink is too big to fail and I'm being 100% serious. SWIFT and ISDA aren't going to want to wait another 5 years for someone to try to get this right again.

If that dude with 280k bought at ICO he had nearly $2 mil at peak.
Ouch.

Chainlink had a company in the Virgin Islands run the ICO. Chainlink is also based out of the Cayman Islands. Sec can’t touch them nor would they touch the catalyst of the 4IR.

I really think people bought Enigma just because something about Sergey intimidated them, made them resentful. They felt more comfortable with an ugly beta dork like the Enigma guy, and got a kick out of the idea that he would "beat" Sergey somehow.

because their token didnt have any use in the network... they just came up with it after the fact. the main purpose was funding. chainlink has utility for the network and is even designed (erc-667) for that purpose. so the SEC will have a hard time claiming its not a utility token. the chainlink team has thought about this very seriously.
