There are probably crumbs but you should disregard those.

Here's the actually important bit:
Corda settler is meant to be a universal settlement platform, for both traditional assets and crypto.
The first example of a crypto they're settling is Ripple because Corda still has a ton of those lying around from back when they were working with Ripple (before they started suing each other).
What oracle are they using for XRP? An old in-house and centralized oracle Ripple made back in 2014 that only does XRP.

This means that Corda is absolutely using whatever oracle they can get their hands on, so as soon as they're looking to expand to other cryptos they'll use whatever already exists and is most secure and convenient: Chainlink.
