Money isn't backed by how many people use it, it's backed by power and military might.

The reason gold was used as currency was because all the kings and nations of the world agreed that gold would be the monetary standard, but that wasn't because gold had any value on it's own, money had value because the military powers decided that gold had value and thus money had value, being backed by gold.

Same thing today, money is backed by sheer military force, that's why the we have the petro dollar and petro yuan, and perpetual war in the middle east.

if businesses continue their PoCs and development of DLT integrations, which they will if they suspect it of saving them money (the whole point of all this), then its quite possible that crypto goes up, and when people see crypto going up while everything else goes down, it can spark chain reactions

I agree that we're going down. Cryptos largely seems to be held by small time investors currently. If this doesn't go away for a couple weeks I'm betting people start selling crypto to fund their day to day. High risk assets are normally the first to go in financial crashes. The thing I'm monitoring closely though is Central bank's language to this crisis. If they opt for Modern monetary theory they are just going to use helicopter money to try and keep financial markets intact. If that happens we shoot for the moon. Otherwise crypto is going lower for a while.
