It’s frustrating being told that my (and otherslike me) accumulation of link was based off of pure luck, or insane gambling. It wasn’t. It was based off research and the intelligence to understand the potential of the Chainlink system. That same research and understanding is what is keeping us holding to double and triple figures. If you take a look at link wallets you will see there are around 20,000 wallets that haven’t touched their link for over 12 months. These are the supposed crazy lucky idiots you’re talking about. Being early on an investment.

And 10-20k is about as much as the average joe could afford if you put all your savings from each paycheque into link for 12 months. Don’t forget that the price varied between $1-$0.20. DCAing means some was bought for say 30c but some was bought for close to a dollar. Most people don’t have 20,000 dollars each year to save.
