Don't buy an investment unless you have a reasonable enough confidence level/interval to support risk weighted profitability.

In a bank though? Terrible idea. Unless you are over 1.7% interest annually (it may spike this year), you are literally losing buying power. Weigh that cumulatively with price hikes, time value of money, etc, and there is how much buying power you are missing out on. You're legitimately better off in PM exposure and keeping liquidity (cash) to 20% or less.
